Topics will include vibrational, absorption and emission spectroscopy, both single and multidimensional NMR based on various nuclei, as well as mass spectrometry. Fundamental theories that lead to a spectral phenomenon, as well as the application of these theories in the identification of complex unknowns will be addressed both through lecture and laboratory work.

Prerequisite(s): CHEM 2102 with a grade of C- or higher.
