RELS 2210 - Religion and Ecology

This course examines how religious traditions may hinder or advance progress on environmental protection and sustainability. This course will introduce students to the work of leading scholars in this field enabling us to explore how religions influence views about the relationship between humans and nature, humans and non-human animals, and questions of stewardship or dominance. Students will also consider what religious views and practices are consonant with living sustainably.
