AIRF 2210 - Human Factors, Safety and Aviation Technology(formerly AIRF 3210) Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hour(s): 3 Lecture Hours Schedule Type: Lecture This course is designed to give students a thorough understanding of the Human Factors involved in pilot decision making as well as future aircraft technologies that assist pilots in maintaining safe flight operations. SMS Systems, Maintenance safety Systems and Air Operations organizational structures will be studied for their combined role in flight operations safety. Case studies and aeromedical data will be used to support the students understanding of the physiological effects of unusual attitudes and meteorological phenomena on a pilots performance. New and future Aircraft technologies will be discussed, including avionics, engines and airframes that advance pilot performance and safety.
