Victimology is a multi-disciplinary study of victims of crime, the impact of crime on their lives, and the criminal justice system’s response to crime and victimisation. It draws insight from sociology, psychological, criminology, and other disciplines to understand the social-structural causes and consequences of victimisation, the intersecting individual and structural factors that promote victimisation of specific people and groups, and the criminal justice system’s response to victimisation.

Prerequisite(s): Either both CRJS 1001 AND CRJS 1003; OR SLGY 1101
