Under the guidance of a faculty supervisor, the student designs and conducts work on a research project in the area of geology. A proposal, which includes preliminary data and/or results, is presented as an oral presentation and as a written submission to a supervisory committee.

Prerequisite(s): Permission of the department
Note: It is expected that students will continue to GEOL 5502 from GEOL 5501 to meet the Honours program requirements.
