This course introduces anthropological archaeology and the deep history of humankind. Starting with the emergence of key technologies like stone and ceramic artifacts, this course reviews a wide breadth of ancient peoples who practiced hunting and foraging, domesticated plants and animals, and developed distinct forms of architecture, monumentality, towns, and polities around the ancient world.
