The Child and Youth Care Counsellor (CYCC) Minor will provide students with foundational knowledge of working with vulnerable children and youth, 8 to 22 years of age, and their families. Course offerings include an overview of the profession, interviewing and counselling skills, therapeutic approaches to practice, child and youth human rights, mental health interventions, and social policy. This minor can complement other degree programs related to working with children, youth and families.
