COMM 4501 - Roles and Practices in Contemporary Communications Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hour(s): 3 Lecture Hours Schedule Type: Lecture Contemporary work environments in communication are evolving. Changes in technologies, workforce demographics, business models, audience relationships, regulatory regimes, social norms and other factors affect how communicators work, and precisely the work they do. This senior course focuses on problem based learning. Working together, students from all Bachelor of Communication degree streams will examine and reflect on the origins, character and implications of changes in the contemporary communicator’s work. Students’ investigations will result in major, team based, public presentations.
Prerequisite(s): One of BMST 4490 , INFO 4690 , JOUR 4790 or PUBR 4890 . Community Service Learning
