CRJS 4002 - Critical Analyses of Forensic Sciences in the Criminal Justice System Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hour(s): 3 Lecture Hours Schedule Type: Lecture This course introduces students to the role forensic science plays in the Canadian criminal justice system. Students will gain an appreciation of the development of forensic science and learn that the criminal justice system, at times, struggles with creating a balance between science and the law. As a result, the student will be introduced to various forensic techniques commonly used, but will also be given an opportunity to critically examine how these techniques can both assist and hinder the due process of determining guilt or innocence of accused persons.
