ECON 1143 - The Economics of Contemporary Issues Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hour(s): 3 Lecture Hours Schedule Type: Lecture This course will apply principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics to current issues in society. By examining current issues from an economic perspective, students will learn how to assess contemporary issues in terms of the individual and overall winners and losers resulting from policies, regulations and systems. Specific issues to be covered in this course depend upon their currency and importance in relation to the time of the course offerings.
