GEOG 4440 - Sustainable Development Geography Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hour(s): 3 Lecture Hours Schedule Type: Lecture, Blended, Online This course is about the spatial patterns of sustainable development. It offers a critical exploration of the development studies field, as well as the practices and experiences of development throughout the world. Course topics include: a critical analysis of the idea and concept of development; the role of the environment in development; the intersection of governance, capitalism, and development; and an exploration of specific cases from the developing and developed world.
Prerequisite(s): One of GEOG 2333 , GEOG 2335 , GEOG 2337 , GEOG 2443 , GEOG 2445 , GEOG 3445 , GEOG 3447 , ECON 2261 , SLGY 4421 , or consent of the department. General Science Option
