NURS 3142 - Seniors’ Health Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hour(s): 6 Lecture Hours Schedule Type: Blended, Lecture, Online In this course, students will use primary health care, considering population groups and influences, as a framework for promoting health, providing holistic care and understanding the unique needs of a diversity of older adults and their families. Students will examine effective community and family-centred approaches to care, considering collaborative relationships and interprofessional partnerships, advocacy, capacity building, critical thinking and clinical judgment in a variety of contexts. Success in this course is supported when this course is taken concurrently with NURS 3144 .
Prerequisite(s): HLTH 2250 , INTS 1240 , PSYC 2235 , HPED 2507 , as well as a grade of C or higher in NURS 2215 and an EP in NURS 2216 .
