ANTH 3308 - Lithic and Ceramic Analysis

This course develops students’ practical knowledge of lithic and ceramic technologies-the two most prevalent materials found in archaeological context. Students will spend half of the course in lectures, learning about the key concepts associated with the analysis of both technologies. The other half will be spent in the laboratory, where students will get hands-on, analytical experience with stone and ceramic artifacts, applying the concepts learned in lectures. This course prepares students for field and laboratory archaeological work.
