ANTH 2231 - The Anthropology of Gender Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hour(s): 3 Lecture Hours Schedule Type: Lecture This course is a comparative analysis of gender as a central feature of social identity and social relations of power. Biological, archaeological, feminist and post-modern approaches to the understanding of women’s and men’s experiences in their historical and cultural varieties form the basis of the course. Case studies will be drawn from western and non-western cultures around the world.
Prerequisite(s): ANTH 1103 or consent of the department. GNED Cluster 3 - Tier 3
