CHEM 4411 - Organometallic Chemistry and Catalysis Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hour(s): 3 Lecture Hours Schedule Type: Lecture Chemistry 4411 is an in-depth examination of organometallic chemistry and catalysis, including an independent analysis of the current primary literature in the field. Topics covered will include the fundamentals of structure and bonding of some transition metal compounds, the carbonyl ligand, pi ligands, other important ligands, reactions that occur at the metal, reactions involving the modification of ligands, an introduction to bio-organometallic processes, and the role of transition metal complexes in catalysis.
