ANTH 3307 - Statistics for Anthropology


(3 credits) 1 hour lecture, 2 hours tutorial Lecture, Tutorial
This course offers an introduction to descriptive and inferential statistical techniques as applied to anthropological research. Through instruction and laboratory practice, students will develop a working knowledge of how statistical concepts can be used to correctly analyze, interpret, and evaluate research findings.

Prerequisite(s): ANTH 1102  or ANTH 1104  and ANTH 1103  or ANTH 1106  and one of the second year core courses ANTH 2225 , ANTH 2229 , or ANTH 2241  or consent of the department.
Recommended Preparation: Mathematics 30-1 or Mathematics 30-2.
