MATH 1224 - Introduction to Statistics Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hour(s): 4 Lecture Hours Schedule Type: Blended, Lecture, Online Lab Hour(s): 1
This course involves descriptive statistics and some basic theory of probability including Bayes’ Rule, expectation, probability distribution (binomial, Poisson, normal) and sampling distributions. Confidence interval and hypothesis testing are introduced.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 1200 with a grade of C- or higher or Mathematics 30-1/ MATH 0130 with a grade of 65% or higher and Mathematics 31/ MATH 0131 with a grade of 50% or higher. Note: Only one of the MATH 1211 , MATH 1224, MATH 2233 and MATH 2333 can be used for graduation purposes.
