NURS 2111 - Theoretical Foundations of Nursing II Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hour(s): 3 Lecture Hours Schedule Type: Lecture, Blended, Online This course continues the exploration of the concepts of person, nursing, health and environment, with emphasis on the holistic understanding of the individual’s experience of illness in the context of the determinants of health, professional practice and primary health care. Students will also gain an understanding of the local and national environments in which nurses practice. This 2000-level course builds on the content in the previous levels of the program. Students must complete all Nursing 1100 and 1200 courses in the lower levels of the program prior to registering for this course.
Prerequisite(s): A grade of C- or higher in BIOL 1221 , a grade of C or higher in NURS 1213 and an EP in NURS 1214 .
