This course will focus on the development of career-readiness skills within the discipline of Psychology by allowing students to observe how the psychological concepts learned across the degree program transfer to the workplace. Students will be assisted in finding an approved work-term placement with a community partner that deals with matters directly related to an area of psychology.  Depending on the work placement, appropriate police record and other checks may be required (e.g., Police Information Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, Intervention Record Check).

Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of B in both PSYC 2213  and in one 3000-level Psychology course
Note: Depending upon the specific work placement, students may be required to obtain a Police Information Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and/or Intervention Record Check prior to going into the workplace. These checks must be supplied to Career Services prior to the onset of the placement with the community partner. Failure to do so will result in deregistration or another placement that does not require these checks.
