MATH 1211 - Concepts of Mathematical Statistics (3 credits) 4 hours lecture, 1 hour lab Lecture, Lab This course involves descriptive statistics and a brief introduction to probability theory. A systematic treatment of inferential statistics is undertaken in this course. Topics include the inferences of one population and two population means and proportions, regression and correlation, and chi-square test.
Prerequisite(s): Mathematics 30-1, MATH 0130 or equivalent with a grade of 65% or higher; or MATH 1283 or MATH1285 with a grade of B- or higher; and MATH 31 or MATH 0131 with a grade of 50% or higher.
