BIOL 3104 - Human Physiology I (3 credits) 3 hours lecture, 3 hours lab Lecture, Tutorial This course deals with the normal functions of and interactions between organs and organ systems in the human body. The emphasis will be on how these functions are controlled in the normal state and how they are integrated in the whole organism. The major topics studied in this course include: homeostasis, signal transduction and intercellular communication, properties of excitable cells, the nervous system, the muscular systems, the endocrine system and the reproductive system.
