COMP 1001 - Introduction to Computer-Based Problem Solving for the Sciences (3 credits) 3 hours lecture, 2 hours tutorial Lecture, Tutorial Computers are an essential tool in contemporary scientific practice This course provides the students with a foundation in algorithmic thinking as well as exposure to a programming environment. Students also receive significant practice in scientific problem-solving and modeling using common desktop productivity tools.
