COMP 1501 - Programming I: Introduction to Problem Solving and Programming (3 credits) 3 hours lecture, 1 hour lab, 1 hour tutorial Lecture, Lab, Tutorial This course provides an introduction to problem solving in the context of computer programming. The problem solving process is explored in depth, with a focus on applying the key steps in a variety of situations. The course emphasizes the design of fundamental algorithmic solutions and the implementation of those solutions in a visual development environment. Preexisting modular building blocks for objects and methods form the basis for program implementation.
