Social Work Practice II builds on the skills and knowledge from Social Work Practice I with a goal of exposure to and involvement in more complex practice situations. Students integrate social work theories and methods in work with individuals, children and families, groups, or communities. Students are expected to demonstrate social work practice skills related to assessment, shared participation in the client change process, and interventions with a variety of client groups. A focus on reflective practice, professionalism, and social work ethics contribute to the continued development of social work identity. The total combined hours of fieldwork and seminar are 350.

Prerequisite(s): A grade of C or higher in all of SLWK 1296, SLWK 2218, SLWK 2221, SLWK 2222 and SLWK 3315.
