The structure-function relationships that exist within this broad category of biomolecules will be investigated. Topics will include protein structure, functional roles of selected proteins or protein classes, and analytical methods for protein analysis. Laboratory exercises will involve the isolation and analysis of selected proteins from simple cellular systems.

Prerequisite(s): BCEM 2201 with a grade of C- or higher.
