This course situates Nursing within Indigenous Teachings from respected Elders and Knowledge Keepers as the foundation for the Bachelor of Nursing Program. Understanding health is a human right is foundational to support the provision of just, equitable practice. NURS 1111 gives students an introduction to a variety of knowledge(s), skills, attitudes and discernment in the profession of nursing in the context of multidimensional and dynamic environments.
