NURS 2111 - Theoretical Foundations of Nursing II Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hour(s): 3 Lecture Hours Schedule Type: Lecture This course continues to expand on nursing science from qualitative, affective, relational, strengths-based theory and concepts in the context of the adult facing chronic health challenges in the tertiary care setting. Students will continue to develop a broad range of leadership and academic skills and gain a more holistic understanding of the human health experience in the context of family within local acute care settings. An intersectional analysis approach in this course focuses on the client-nurse relationship, with the aim to deconstruct historical (through to current) issues in the intersectoral domains of nursing practice: clinical, education, research, and administration.
Prerequisite(s): A grade of C- or higher in BIOL 1221 , a grade of C or higher in NURS 1213 and an EP in NURS 1214 .
