NURS 3104 - Professional Practice in Adult Health Credit(s): 4 Other Hour(s): 24 Other Hours Schedule Type: Clinical
Within NURS 3104 and in a variety of settings and contexts, students will focus on the integration of primary health care and population health strategies within a relational lens to promote health and provide care to a diverse and inclusive adult population and families experiencing complex acute and chronic illness in a variety of settings and contexts. Using relational practice, students will demonstrate evidence-informed, ethical, safe, and effective nursing care to demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and collaboration with a focus on the integration of previous and current theoretical and practical knowledge.
Prerequisite(s) / Corequisite(s): NURS 3102 . Note: It is recommended that students complete NURS 3102 and NURS 3104 concurrently to best support the integration of theory and clinical practice.
Students must be prepared to attend clinical anywhere in Calgary and be open to options outside of Calgary.
