NURS 3112 - Family Newborn Health

In this course, students will use a relational, strengths-based approach with childbearing individuals and families to promote health, and provide holistic and equitable care. Students will engage and collaborate with families to promote health and consider inter-professional partnerships, critical thinking, advocacy, family centered practices, and clinical judgment in a variety of contexts. 

Prerequisite(s): HLTH 2250 , INTS 1240 , PSYC 2235 , HPED 2507 , as well as a grade of C or higher in NURS 2215  and an EP in NURS 2216 .

AND

One of GNED 1101 , GNED 1102 , or GNED 1103 , one of GNED 1201 , GNED 1202 , or GNED 1203 , one of GNED 1301  or GNED 1303 , and one of GNED 1401 , GNED 1403 , GNED 1404 , or ENGL 1101 . 
Note: It is recommended that students complete NURS 3112 and NURS 3114  concurrently to best support the integration of theory and clinical practice.
