This course explores agencies and models under Canada’s criminal justice system. Although Canada’s criminal justice system is guided by federal legislation, the application of laws varies across provinces and territories. The locations visited will vary from year-to-year depending on social, economic, and/or political issues. The course will include experiential learning opportunities that may include Indigenous content and ways of knowing. The course has the possibility of a community service-learning co-designation, which is dependent on the instructor.
