HPED 5000 - HPED Honours Thesis I Credit(s): 3 Lecture Hour(s): 3 Lecture Hours Schedule Type: Independent Study This course is the first of two thesis courses that will provide more extensive exposure to the knowledge and practice of the discipline. The student will be expected to design and complete a project of their choosing in an area of health and physical education. In Honours Thesis I, the thesis proposal will be presented as a paper and an oral presentation to an academic committee. The Honours thesis project is conducted under the direct guidance of a faculty supervisor from the Department of Health and Physical Education. In exceptional circumstances, a co-supervisor from outside of the department may be named.
Prerequisite(s): HPED 2030 , HPED 3050 and one of CRJS 3005 , HPED 3030 , POST 2208 , PSYC 2211 , SLGY 3323 .
Note: Additional statistics and research methods courses at the 3000 level or higher may be eligible to meet this requirement. Chair approval is required for any course that is not explicitly listed above.
