Participate in a work-integrated learning experience applying theoretical knowledge and practical skills in a workplace environment of a local organization. Investigate a science-related issue identified by the organization and produce a deliverable for this project. The specific deliverable varies based on the nature of the placement, the academic background of the student, and the needs of the organization. Specific projects could involve collection, sorting, or analysis of information; summarizing or interpreting information; or using problem-solving skills to interrogate an issue.

Prerequisite(s): SCIE 5010 and consent of the department.
Note: The course will run three hours of lecture for the first three weeks, with the rest of the semester being internship hours.
