Metabolism is central to maintaining life. This course provides an overview of human metabolism from biochemistry to disease with topics ranging from basic biochemical pathways, cellular aspects of metabolic regulation, and diseases related to metabolic dysfunction. Lectures focus on establishing a strong knowledge base in metabolic concepts while the research project provides students the opportunity to use applied metabolic measurements in course-based undergraduate research.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 2110, BIOL 2202, BCEM 2201 and BIOL 3401, each with a grade of C- or higher.
