HPED 3820 - Outdoor Adapted Physical Activity Credit(s): 1.5 Lecture Hour(s): 3 Lecture Hours Schedule Type: Lecture An introduction to the facilitation and programming strategies that are used to promote physical activity and mental wellness in an outdoor environment for individuals experiencing disability. The course will focus on applying theory to real-life settings and familiarization with specialized equipment and techniques. This course will explore the philosophical underpinnings of identifying and removing barriers to empower individuals to access the outdoor environment.
Prerequisite(s): HPED 2010 Recommended Preparation: PHYL 3320 and HPED 1070
