HPED 2860 - Introductory Fly Fishing Credit(s): 1.5 Lecture Hour(s): 3 Lecture Hours Schedule Type: Lecture This course is designed to provide students with the theory and practice of fly fishing, including its philosophical underpinnings, techniques, etiquette, and connections to societal health and wellbeing. This course emphasizes self awareness, sustainability and environmental stewardship as key pillars of this activity. This course is divided between preparatory lectures and off-campus activities.
Note: A valid Alberta basic recreation fishing licence is required. Fly fishing-specific equipment will be provided for students to use during the course. Students will be required to have appropriate outdoor clothing, as well as safe transportation to and from the off-campus location(s).
