BIOL 3202 - Bioinformatics

This course introduces students to the foundational concepts and tools of bioinformatics. Students will gain practical experience with bioinformatics software, databases, and algorithms and learn to work with large datasets, perform sequence comparisons and searches, and analyze DNA, RNA, and protein sequences using various bioinformatics tools. By the end of the course, students will be able to implement bioinformatics pipelines, design computational experiments, and critically evaluate bioinformatics research.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 2101  and one of: MATH 2233 MATH 2234 MATH 2235  or MATH 2333 , each with a minimum grade of C- or higher
