SCIE 3010 - Understanding and Translating Scientific Research

This course focuses on developing essential skills in analyzing, interpreting, integrating, and communicating scientific information. Students will learn to critically evaluate current scientific literature from across different disciplines, identify and contextualize key findings, and communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively in various formats, including academic publications, presentations, and public outreach. As a preparatory course for the senior capstone course, this course equips students with practical tools to bridge the gap between scientific research and broader audiences.

 

Prerequisite(s): Both COMP 2008  and MATH 2234  with a minimum grade of C-.
