This is an intermediate level field placement with an approved agency that focuses on a higher level of responsibilities and expectations with field evaluation and management skills. 

Students will demonstrate evidence-based, ethical, critical thinking, reflection, and collaborative practice, while integrating previous and current theoretical and practical knowledge in line with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association Scope of Practice and Professional Competencies List.

Participants will participate in lectures once every two weeks, complete 100 hours of practicum, and complete practicum and course requirements. Athletic Therapy students are expected to be open to working with diverse populations and gender identities across the life span.

Prerequisite(s): ATTH 3110 , ATTH 3120 , and ATTH 3160 .
Note: Students registered in ATTH 3162 should be aware that the start date of their practicum can begin prior to the start of the Winter semester. In addition, students are required to be available until the end of the final exam period in order to complete all practicum and course requirements. 

Students must be prepared to attend clinical/field practicum anywhere in Calgary and must be open to options outside of Calgary.
