NURS 2114 - Professional Practice II

This course focuses on promoting the health of individuals from and within diverse contexts of care using a strengths-based approach and considering the indiviudual’s position within both their family and community. Students will use critical thinking and clinical judgment skills in the application of pharmacology, pathophysiology, nursing science and knowledge, nursing standards of care and professional structures and accountability toward holistic health outcomes within a relational approach to care while engaging with other members of the health care team in the planning and provision of nursing care of adults experiencing alterations in health in hospital settings.

Prerequisite(s) / Corequisite(s): NURS 2112 and NURS 2113.
Note: Students must be prepared to attend clinical anywhere in Calgary and be open to options outside of Calgary.
