This is an advanced-level field and clinical practicum with an approved agency that focuses on a higher level of responsibilities and expectations with field evaluation, management skills, and clinical skills to prepare students to transition to independent practice.

Students will demonstrate evidence-based, ethical, critical thinking, reflection, and collaborative practice while integrating previous and current theoretical and practical knowledge in line with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association Scope of Practice and Professional Competencies List. Participants will participate in lectures each week, complete 175 hours of practicum, and complete practicum and course requirements. Athletic Therapy students are expected to be open to working with diverse populations and gender identities across the lifespan.

Prerequisite(s): ATTH 3110 , ATTH 3130 , ATTH 3152 ,  ATTH 3162  and HPED 3030.  
Note: Students registered in ATTH 4150 should be aware that the start date of their practicum can begin prior to the start of the Fall semester. In addition, students are required to be available until the end of the final exam period in order to complete all practicum and course requirements. 

Students must be prepared to attend clinical/field practicum anywhere in Calgary and must be open to options outside of Calgary.
